Open Runway in the IM Runway app

Runway works only in the IM Runway app. The app runs Runway's helper on your computer, which is how Runway reaches Zoho, Jira, your AI and your files as you. A web browser doesn't have the helper, so Runway doesn't open here.

Open in IM Runway

This opens the same place in the app, if it's on this computer. A link from Slack or an email opens the app by itself: when your browser asks, tick Always allow and it won't ask again.

Download IM Runway for Mac

Open the file and follow the installer: Continue, then Install. It installs for you only, in the Applications folder in your home folder, so it doesn't ask for an administrator password. IM Runway opens by itself when the installer finishes; later, open it from Launchpad or Spotlight.

The first time, the Mac may say it can't check the installer, because it isn't signed yet. Right-click the file (or hold Control and click it), choose Open, then Open again. If the Mac only offers Done or Move to Bin: choose Done, open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, scroll down, choose Open Anyway, and confirm.

Download IM Runway for Windows

Open the file and follow the installer. It installs for you only, so it doesn't need administrator rights, and puts IM Runway in your Start menu and on your Desktop. IM Runway opens by itself when it's done.

The first time, Windows may say "Windows protected your PC", because it isn't signed yet: choose More info, then Run anyway. If your browser asks whether to keep the file, choose Keep.

Got IM Runway already? This replaces it with the new version: close it first. To remove it: Settings, Apps, IM Runway, Uninstall.

Only the app shows Runway: that's the rule, and this page is how it's kept. It isn't a lock against someone technical who tries to get round it.
